Are you complaining on LinkedIn? STOP!
As a job seeker, there is ZERO upside to airing your job search grievances publicly on LinkedIn.
If you were trying to sell a house, you wouldn’t publicly post about the lowball offers, flakey buyers, or days on market. You would instead probably focus on your marketing strategy, buyer avatar, price, and being realistic about the house’s selling points/shortcomings.
AKA, you would put your best foot forward, be strategic, and project with strength.
Your job search beefs are probably legitimate and your targets probably deserve the tongue lashing. Airing your job search grievances may even feel therapeutic, get you some likes, and provide you with a short-term “win”. But…
Anyone who is in a position to actually hire you will ONLY see it as bitching.
Instead, maintain a positive public persona, communicate your value proposition, keep building strategic relationships, and always seek to add value.
Happy hunting!
